LOGIN AND REGISTRATION

You can shop at the University of Silesia shop after registering and creating an account. You can also enjoy the shopping experience without registration.

Registration

To create an account with the University of Silesia e-shop, tap the "Register" button (top right corner on the shop's main page). After entering and saving all the registration data, you will receive an email sent to the email address specified during registration. To confirm the initial registration, you will need to confirm the registration by clicking the activation link sent in the email or copying and pasting the link into your web browser's address bar and then pressing "enter".

After your account has been activated, you can log in on the main page (by entering your username and password created during registration), and then do shopping. Registered users can log in right after entering the shop's website.

Why create an account? Registered users can quickly track their purchase history and check their order status, and will be sent information on promotions and sales. In the future, they will also be able to rate products and comment on them.

Shopping without registration

If you're planning a one-off purchase and don't want to create an account with the University of Silesia shop, you can shop withou registration. Just pick a product, add it to the cart, and proceed as instructed.

Shopping without registration doesn't mean you do not have to accept the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. You also have to enter your email and shipping address (when selecting shipment via a carrier or post).

 

DELIVERY, PERSONAL COLLECTION

Shipping time

 When you receive your order depends on how much time we need to prepare it and the time needed by the post to deliver it. Once your payment has been recorded and received, we need 2-5 days to prepare and ship your order.

Delivery methods

The following delivery methods are available:

  • Personal collection

Personal collection of order free of charge. When you receive an e-mail notification that your order has been successfully processed, you can collect the order at the University of Silesia's Department of Promotion at Bankowa 12 in Katowice, room 135. You can collect your order Monday to Friday during business hours (7.30 AM to 3.30 PM).  

In order to collect your order, you need to present your ID or another identification document with photo as well as the order placement confirmation. 

You can also authorise a third party to collect your order on your behalf. They must then present the collection authorisation, their ID or another identification document with photo, as well as the order placement confirmation..

 

  • Delivery via Polish Post

When the goods you have ordered are ready for shipment, you will receive an email notification that your order has been successfully processed. Since that moment, you can track the shipment here: https://emonitoring.poczta-polska.pl/?lang=en

The shipment fee charged by the Polish Post is always specified when placing an order.

 

PAYMENT METHODS

You have five days from placing an order to pay. If, for some reason, you fail to pay in this time, your order will be cancelled.

The following payment methods are available:

  1. electronic payment system (PayU),
  2. online transfer to the University of Silesia shop's bank account: UŚ: 85 1050 1214 1000 0024 3970 5233 (ING Bank Śląski),
  3. payment made in person at the post office or bank directly to the University of Silesia shop's account.

RETURNS AND COMPLAINTS

According to the law, items can be returned within 14 days (counting from delivery date), as long as they are in the original condition and show no sign of being used.

Customers who collected products  at the University of Silesia's Department of Promotion and want to return them there, are obliged to bring the products they are returning to the Department, alongside a filled out return form and the original proof of purchase (receipt or invoice).

Customers who want to return products via a carrier of their choice must first send a filled out return form (available in the section "Complaints, returns, replacements") to the address sklep@us.edu.pl. Once the mail is received, the shop personnel will contact the sender to finalise the return.

Complaints

All items available in our shop are covered by manufacturer's warranty. Defective products should be sent back or brought to the University of Silesia's Department of Promotion (address: Department of Promotion, University of Silesia, Bankowa 12, room 147, 40-007 Katowice) alongside a filled out complaint form (available in the section "Complaints, returns, replacements") and the proof of purchase (receipt or invoice). The defective product will be sent back to the manufacturer, who will then handle the complaint.
